CarBoss uses the information you provide to check listings, deliver purchased searches and send requested updates. We do not sell personal information or give your contact details to dealers.

What we collect

Listing URLs, search criteria, account email, purchase references, report summaries and alert preferences. An essential browser cookie connects your guest reports to this browser. Security controls use a hashed network identifier to limit abuse. Checklist answers stay in your browser’s local storage.

Service providers

Hosting, database, authentication, payment, email and automated analysis providers process information required to operate the service. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by CarBoss. Automated analysis receives source vehicle information, not your payment details or private checklist answers. Providers can process data outside Canada.

Sharing

If you leave a voicemail, Twilio records your message and caller number. Google Gemini transcribes the recording, and Resend delivers the recording and transcript to our private business inbox so we can respond. Voicemails are not published or shared with dealers.

A report share link gives anyone holding it access to that report. Keep it private unless you intend to share it. Shared reports do not contain your account email, search criteria or checklist notes.

Email and advertising measurement

Account links and requested report updates are service messages. You can pause search alerts from your account. Optional advertising measurement runs only when you allow it. CarBoss does not send marketing emails without separate consent.

Retention and your choices

Account records and reports are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing hello@carboss.ca. We verify account ownership before disclosing or deleting data. You can clear locally stored checklist notes through your browser.
